He has banking sector work experience since 1994. Prior to joining General Invest, he had been working for Promsvyazbank, where he was responsible for Private banking and further took charge of Promsvyaz Asset Management. Additionally throughout the years Alexey held the position of Managing Director, Wealth Management Director in Aton-Management, took the lead of the Private Banking Department in Troika Dialog and run Wealth Management direction in Renaissance Investment Management. Previously Alexey Ischenko was Financial Department Deputy Director and member of Financial Committee of the Unified Energy System of Russia, OJSC and managed Major Corporate Customer Department in Alpha-Bank.

Alexey graduated from Institute of Asian and African Studies of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, along with Faculty of Economics of the same University. He has The MBA University of Chicago Booth School of Business degree.
